No more casts!!!
Once the brace is on.. he doesn't seem to know it's there. This picture was taken right before Auntie Connie and us went for a walk.
He isn't exactly happy here but it shows how I can slip the footed sleepers over his little brace. That is a 3-6month outfit... he is only 8 weeks today!!!Caleb is out of his casts now. His very last one came off on wednesday. He now has a little brace with blue straps. I will post pictures of it very soon. It's so nice to see his cute little knee. I can also put footed sleepers on him now, I just have to put them over the brace. The brace.. or "S.M.O", is hard to put on so I hope it gets easier.. Caleb is less than thrilled to have it put on.. so we will both have to get used to it. I just thank God that we are blessed to live in a country where he can get it corrected instead of having to just have it crooked the rest of his life.

Recent pictures of the big boy!!
This is when Caleb is past mad and unhappy.. usually hunger does this, notice the red face!! He has this undying fear that I am going to starve him or something.
These bears are Caleb's best friends, he just laughs, smiles and talks to them whenever they are in sight!Caleb's first camping trip

Caleb went camping for the first time when he was just about 6 weeks. He loved it! I swaddled him in a fleece blanket and put a hat on his head so that only his eyes were showing so no misquitos could bite him and I stuck him in the bouncer. We had our own tent and in the morning when he woke up he was so amazed at the pretty colors from the sun shining through the tent. He also really enjoyed our walk to watch the sunrise. He loves the outdoors!!
We went with Scott, Brandi, Avery, Venus, Rachel and Jamie. In the bad picure up above he is in the bouncer hanging out.
Casts!
This picture is funny...
He was really sleepy here!
He was talking about something..

This is Caleb's very first cast with cousin Melina
The castings had been a nightmare for the first 5 weeks. The people who were doing them were inexperienced with them and I had to have 3 casts cut off due to Caleb screaming in pain because they were either too tight or cutting into him. The casts never looked professional and it gave me super anxiety to not know if the next one would leave him screaming in pain, not to mention the fact that they weren't even hardly straightening his foot!! I finally put my foot down and demanded that he be seen by someone else. Steve has been working with him and it has been a huge relief. He doesn't cry, I have never had a problem with one of his casts after Steve puts one on and his foot is fully corrected!! Horray for assertiveness!!
Here are pictures of some of Caleb's casts. He has had about 14-15 of them!! 2 of them I kept because he kicked them off.
First week out of the hospital

Caleb and I went to Connie's house the first week after I had Caleb. It was so nice of her and Melina to help out so much. They fed me and watched Caleb while I napped. It was so nice to help me transition into mommyhood!! Here are some pictures of us at Connie and Melina's. The cast Caleb has on in the picture of us outside is his second one. I felt so bad that he went from the nice comfy womb to this hard, hot uncomfortable cast and a scratchy diaper!!
Caleb is here!!

Caleb entered the world by c-section at 4:19am on sunday June 24th. I had a really rough labor and unfortunately the epidural didn't work on me and I had zero natural endorphins from my body because they gave me pitocin to speed up the labor because it wasn't progressing. Needless to say it was the worse pain I could ever imagine pain to be!!!! Connie was amazing help and support and couldn't of imagined how it would of all gone without her there! Beautiful Caleb was born weighing 8lbs, 2.9oz, 19.5inches long. I was too drugged up to really see him but Auntie Connie took on the lead and even cut the cord. So Connie and I call Caleb "our baby" because she took on the father role in the cord cutting=0) She also was able to go with him when he got his first bath and she was great and even took pictures.
Caleb was born with a positional club foot, the doctors think it was wedged on my spine just long enough to make it crooked... you can see it in one of these bath pictures. He has had to go through several castings and and now has a brace he will wear for several months, his foot looks great now!!
Prego pics!

This is me at 38 weeks pregnant early June. The one in the middle I was in Chester Bowl, and the last one I was hanging out with my buddies up the knife river. I didn't stay over night or I would of never got off the ground again!! It was fun anyway!
The first one is me in labor the friday night before Caleb was born! I was HUGE!!!!
